Annuums love sun for the most part, Chinese prefer partial shade meaning only a few hours of direct sun per day, I do have 60 or more  Chinese in the ground and they get full sun all day, they seem to do alright but their leaves are much smaller than my partial shade ones.

Guru I suspect you may consider this a type of tea, I take a scoop of cooked soil like the one below, put it in a 5 gallon bucket then fill it using my hose. The high pressure water aerates they mix for sure, then I water all 300+ plants about once a month, tea?

I use Jiffy Trays and my homemade starter mix, use moist soil and keep a cover on em  no direct sun till they grow up a little.
