Any outer leaves or new leaves affected?  If mostly the bottom and old ones I would say issues from the moisture/rain.  That happens to me every year and they always grow out of it.

I am still hopeful.  I have had seeds sprout months after I planted them.  Also, my contender is nothing to look at right now.

Ive got one going and can send seeds later this year, also have atropurpureum that is gorgeous.
