I have a paper lantern plant, and it's very close to a reaper plant. It has developed a pod with a very distinct stinger on it.     I was wondering if it's possible for cross pollination to affect the shape of the pod.  

My surviving(Golf ball sized hail) plant has a fair number of pods. Mind you I started it in December.

They look a lot like red habaneros.

Well they are very purple when their small. Hard to get a good angle. Will post better pictures of picked ripes when I get them.

Cherry peppers are weak heat wise. Hottest are the Thai in that list. None of them will taste anything like a habanero.

Look up "lambic" beer. It's done, normally they add fruit too. So peppers will likely work well.
