You all mention some good reasons..But seriously we all do it for the groupies. If I had rhythm I'd probably be in a band and never have grown a pepper.
Salt is high but not unheard of..My first mashes I ran high..Now I go for 4 %salt of ingredient weight..And just enough brine to cover veggies after they've soaked an hour or so..Most the time I add little to no liquid..And some sea salt contains anti caking agents..Pickling canning salt is the...
Looks great..I have Amanda Feifer's book on fermenting vegetables it is a great read with lots of cool recipes I've never tried. After seeing yours I need to expand my horizons beyond kraut and hot sauce.
Just pull off the white flowers to promote growth. And again you don't have a too much light issue. Except for heat I don't think their is such a thing as too much light.
I think Crispee and The Boss both hit it on the head. Mix up a few of those suckers with some PBR and marinate a few whole chickens for the smoker or grill. Or maybe go split chickens on the grill. Come to think of it a marinated pork shoulder would be real good too while your at it.
Did you...
From my experience on indoor grows there is no way you have too much light with florescents 14 inches above the plants..That's the distance I run my MH's at. And only get occassional burn on the tips..Let's see some pics.I bet it is a watering issue..But that is just a wild guess. Not seeing.
Mushrooms sound good. I love anchovies. One of my favorite pizza places has a special with anchovies. Every time I order it they ask if I want anchovies? I always play the wise ass and respond does it include anchovies? Ihey never ask if I want the pepperoni or sausage on there.
I shoot for 800 grams per quart as far as ferments go, I dice not process but don't think that would matter much..Seems to leave almost the perfect head space, except for the most volatile ferments.
So to answer your question 1600 grams..
Need to get money and time together to do our roof this year. Otherwise hoping to get through another year with no major problems. My wife and I both lost our jobs a few years back and we are just getting back to where we were before the SHTF. Very humbling experience.
Nice to have the option of running 8 bulbs..Don't have to run them all at once. But for me doing all kinds of growing projects having a florescent that can double as a 400MH fits the bill.
I'm thinking of ordering that one myself for my seedlings. Both my MH's are working over time on my over winters and another project. I didn't forget those seeds I'll be getting them out this week.
First time rider, I thought it was awesome. I hope my contributions were up to expectations. I was blown away by the amount of seeds to sort through. I'll be saving a lot more seeds in the future. i also liked having some non pepper varieties in there.
