Sweet Italian varieties particularly the Nardellos and Carmen from Johnny's Select Seed. The Nardello's are great but their shape excludes them from some applications like stuffing.

selling milk at farmer's markets labeled "for animal consumption" is a common way of getting around the USDA as well.

they'll sell more seed by holding the hotter ones back should they actually exist. once reaper sales slow down they move on to marketing the next "world's hottest pepper".

Now that it is legitimized they should be able to sell the seed for ridiculous prices....errr....uhmm...oh yeah...already did that.

the greek columnar (aka lesbos) basil will flower but only in a very minor way and it won't go to seed. great for having fresh basil all winter long. i've grown it for about 10 years and have one plant that is at least 5 years old.
