I've done pretty well with my small pots. 3gallon that are about 2/3 full. 10 - 30 pods on each plant average, flowering like crazy. I'll have plenty as long as they ripen in time. I wanted to try a ton of varieties so that forced smaller pots. Looking forward to seeing my overwinters in 7...

My guess is too much on the ferts. Just use water for now. I have a few very similarly impacted and I'm positive I put too much time release in.. Mine have been fine. Slowed a bit but still setting pods.   Lower right of last pic looks different. I haven't encountered it in my limited experience.

Mine are setting fruit and growing like weeds now too, had to tie them to the fence today after losing one of four due to wind. Husks seem to grow much faster than the fruit inside! I saw there huge husks after being away for four days and was like holy crap that was fast, but alas, the fruit...

Those not bhuts look pretty sweet. I'd be pleased with that surprise! Way better than spending the time and getting habs or the likes. At least they're supers.   Plants looking nice.

Pics of pods?

Well it's about time I get around to an update so I took some pics. Lots of green pods, most plants have full-sized pods. Got a few surprises.   Bug situation kinda fizzled out. Put down slug poison a couple times. That's about it. Have a few sick plants. Not too worried though. Finally learned...

Topping is something some people do early in the season to force the plant to bush out. Some people think it works great, others do not.   Those who don't tend to believe the plant will take care of itself... while those that do believe that forcing the plant to grow a particular way will cause...

Sure, all will be well... but you did chop a lot of your plant off, and you're halfway through summer, in a colder climate, like mine.   Had you wanted more lower branching you could have picked one or two larger stem leaves off. Or just pinched the flower buds. You would get the same result...

In the future, this late in the season, you may prefer to just pinch flowers off if you want the plant to focus on growth.   That is quite a chop you did. Personally, I'd only prune that much if I were running out of space indoors before the outdoor season starts. All cutting them at this point...

Are the seeds isolated? If not, might be better to throw a few in from each pod in case one or two out of the three crossed. Seeds from pods self-pollinated from the same plant will have the same genes regardless of the appearance of the particular fruit.

  Great!! Season is going great and I have tons of green pods. One ripe Cumari do Para so far. Ate it fresh as soon as I saw it. They are awesome. Little bush pod-producing machines. Expect to see isolated seed on the train! I think most of my train seed is growing true. Reapers from a stateside...

Pods are lookin' wicked, Matt. Texture on that UBSC is just insane!
