event NWCF- campout summary, post #83

My TMobile dumbphone rarely works at Kanaskat. In a few spots I have gotten one bar for like 5 seconds. I want to help out with goodies and shopping as much as possible Ann, but my schedule got even more complicated. I will definitely be in and out for this hellishly wondrous event. After I get...

event 2014 Northwest Chilefest- Official Thread

We had a fantastic time Ann. It was great to spend so much of Fri, Sat, and Sun visiting everybody. The food and drink was out of this world! So many sauces, pods, powders, and dishes. I would HIGHLY advise anyone to come to this gathering of chileheads next year. You won't be disappointed…I...

    Windchicken 2014

Amazing pics Gary! So glad you planted some of those beauties. Nothing quite like the smell in the air of chiles roasting late summer and fall. Not sure if I will make the trip to Hatch this year since I still have so many left. I am working on a way to surprise you anyway. Keep up the great...

event NW Chilefest- Food Teaser Pics posted!

We will be there too Ann. I won't need a campsite since I can practically walk to the Park from my house. If anyone needs camping gear, such as tent, sleeping bags, chairs, etc. please let me know. I have a 6 man and 3 man tent that would love to be used. Also, I would be happy to give rides to...

    annuum Looking for RED JALAPENOS!

I couldn't believe my luck when my local Fred Meyer store had a bunch of red jalapeños mixed in with the greens. I scooped them up. They were sweet and pretty hot.

    Green chiles

You can buy certified seeds straight from the Hatch farm that developed the Big Jim green chile with NMSU. The Lumbre is a very hot chile they have developed over the years which is a cross between Big Jim and pequins. They now are the size of Sandias, but much hotter. Solor Dry Chile Products...

    Chaco Canyon

I love that place. There is a special feel to it when you are there. My parents dragged us there when were kids because they wanted us to experience the culture. It must have rubbed off on me because my wife and I took our kids there and I then really learned to appreciate what is. Great pics...

    These are fungus gnats right?

I forgot about the sticky tape. The combination of the sticky tape and mosquito dunks is what works. Don't expect immediate results to be 100%. Be patient and continue to use the dunks for a while even if you don't see any more on the sticky tape.

    These are fungus gnats right?

Kinda looks like the ones I had last year. Mosquito dunks did them in.
