    First timer grow log

They are looking great! You may want to think about a potting up soon, the roots will quickly fill those cups. My plants are recovering from a severe case of root bound, they lost leaves and were set back badly.

    container Poor Mans Containers

Those cups will work great until the fourth or fifth set of leaves, then you need to pot up. they will get root bound in those very quickly. I hope you can get some larger containers soon, kitty litter buckets, cheap five gallon buckets, something that holds between 3 and five gallons. Just make...

When phone numbers were alpha-numeric. My first telephone number that I can remember was VE9-6345. And rotary phones.............. When at the end of the broadcast day "America the Beautiful" was played with video of beautiful places in the US. This was followed by the test tone and test...

Your reaction to the hottest thing you have ever eaten?

A piece of Butch T Scorpion at the PNW chile head party last year. It was so hot it made the back of my eyeballs feel like they were on fire. I then put a good portion of that pod on a burger, and had the biggest endorphin rush.... :mouthonfire:

What is with this PNW weather! Yesterdays high was 47°, 11 degrees below normal. We haven't seen a day at or above 60° this year yet, the latest it has ever happened. Thank God I bought a greenhouse!

    Deer

One word........ Scarecrow<---linky Works great for deer and cats..... I have one for feline deterrence that I use. It is a infra-red detector, so aiming at a fence or other large object that gets warmed by the sun will make it very sensitive. Also keeps neighbors away too.....

powder-flake Coworkers using all my sauce, powders, ect...

Would not be hard to find the thief if you put some superhot powder (or whatever) in place of what they have been "procuring" from you. Just find the guy/gal sitting in his/her chair waiving a hand in front of their face and blabbering incoherently. IMO, it is not wrong, it is just desserts.

Are there any more on THP???

To give you a idea of what you could find when geocaching, check out this site: My link Some of the caches are very evil, and I have seen better ones than that. Some of the best hid are ones that are custom made by the geocacher that hid them. also, geocaches are rated by the hider a 1-5 in...

    Hardening off

All of my plants including the 4ft tall 7 Pod Brain Strain plants are spending their very first night out in the new greenhouse I finished assembling today. Lots of clouds tomorrow, so hardening off should not be a issue. Low 40s tonight, daytime highs around mid to low 50s for the next week...

    overwintering Overwintering?

As long as it does not freeze, chili plants will survive. They may loose leaves and look like heck, but they will live. I would be tempted to put up a greenhouse if I had winters like that, and have at least some chilies all year long.

    RS67Man's 2011 pepper patch

I need to stop ignoring my grow log........ :banghead: I have finally potted up my chili plants into 2 gallon planters using Fox Farm Ocean Forrest potting soil, last week. They were EXTREMELY root bound, and I was having trouble with too little/to much water, root rot, leaf curl and...

How did you pick your username?

16 years ago when I got my first PC, I joined America Off Line. They asked for a username and after about 5 minutes of thinking and 3 hours of trying different cool sounding names that were all ready taken, I came upon the unique name of 67RSman. I own a 1967 RS Camaro, and it seemed to be...

Are there any more on THP???

One of the biggest rules in geocaching is, IT IS NEVER BURIED! Some are very cleverly hidden, especially those in urban and city locals. There are caches that are nothing more than a tiny waterproof container that measures 3/8"X3/8".....called a micro. All it has in it is a tightly rolled up...
