okay, i called bontanicare, they said that you can use is as foliar spray but to dilute it 1/4 strength for forial feeding. good to know!

quick Cal-Mag question, i am using Botanicares cal-mag +, is this able to be applied via foliar feeding? I've tried searching with mixed results. thanks :dance:

AJ, i'm not sure if it was this post or another but you had mentioned a starter mix that you use. Do you keep your seedling in that mix until they go outside? Or so you have a transitional mix?

Thanks for the advice guys, they were in seed starter for the first 1.5 months and really didn't seem to be growing at all. Is there a "transition soil" inbetween seed starter and final mix?

i've only given them 1/3 to 1/4 strength fert in bottom water ONCE. No signs of aphids. These plants are almost 2 months old them seem to of needed a little kick start. I don't think i when over board with the fert.

lol, everytime i try to look up anything plant related the first 20 pages are pot growers. Which is good when im at home cause they know what they are doing, but the internet filter at work doesn't really like those sites

they are in regular meraicle (sp?) grow. I usually bottom water and they are under CFLs so the very top sometimes gets crusty

Hey all, hopefully everyone is having a sucessful start to the season. Anyway i create a good amount of wood ash (mostly hard wood, oak, walnut etc..) from my wood stove during the winter and was wondering if it would be beneficial in a potting mix? I don't really have a garden plot to mix it...

Just wondering over here, when do you consider a seedling no longer a seedling? Just sifting through a bunch of older info on here and this came up. thanks
