I started some seeds, did more researching, and starting gathering items to go the DIY route, I have settled on the Recirculating DWC method, but I am still unclear on a few items. Hoping you guys could help clear the water. Here is a sketch of the RDWC method I plan to use...     Questions...

I've been skeptical about whether they would break down or not so I have always ripped them off before planting, soak the pot really good and you wont have to worry about damaging the roots.

Congrats on your success, mash looks tasty. Never thought of using a french press for fermenting, but great idea.

Looks like just some kham yeast build up, which is common. Leave them sealed until ferment is complete. Scrape off what you can but don't be concerned if you don't get every spec out of the mix, it is harmless to you. Give it a sniff test at the end of the ferment...if it smells ok, go in for a...
