jeez! & i thought we had it bad at around 12 below! no feckin' chance of growing anything right now & i'm bored-just as well i've a good stash of fresh & frozen pods to heat up my grub/chow...

dammit! so jiffy pots are crap? just my luck i've got several filled with compost & perlite & ready to go after sowing lotsa seeds & failing to get one solitary seedling survive.should've seen the light! guess it's back to plastic pots then.... thanks for the heads-up folks.

main meal today was alas non-chillied (chilli came later!) rump steak braised in a creamy peppercorn sauce with lotsa broccoli (calabrese) & baked baby potatoes (skins on) with garlic & garden herbs....mmmmm!:lol: supper was sliced beef with hot chilli sauce & bhut jolokia paste in a seeded roll.

i always take a small container of bhut powder or any whizzed-up dried hot pepper with me to eateries 'cos i've just never experienced a really satisfyingly hot curry anywhere. it is a fact that other diners get curious & tend to stare over when you whip it out (oo-er!)

marcio i got pods the exact same as these amongst a mixed batch & as i didn't know what they were i emailed the seller.he said they were Tasmanian Habaneros. hope that helps.

wifey wanted a dhaal tonight so used some left-overs & pantry staples... yellow split peas diced potatoes, both boiled then simmered until soft chopped shallots chopped garlic balti mix curry powder 2 dried red chillies, all fried in oil until soft, added finely sliced bell peppers & chopped...

man, that's a stash & a half!! i'm thinking just how much cash i'd need to part with to buy that gear here in the UK-not that i'd be able to get much of it as imported products anyway...:(

i have a bodum coffeegrinder which is similar to the original item pictured, & it's ground many pods, spices etc over the years with no trouble whatsoever.bit finicky to clean, but a soft damp cloth does the job no problem.

i'm salivating over my keyboard at these, might just imagine tomorrow's turkey dinner's in one of these patties!
