An oscillating fan providing enough breeze to wiggle the plants a bit will provide some stress strengthening for the stem. I use a timer and cycle it on/off every other hour.
Thank you for the input. I'll give it more time to develop before making a determination. I knew it was early if it was blackspot. I just don't want anything to spread around to any neighboring plants. I did have other plants that I'm pretty certain were infected. These marks looked...
The bottom pics are edema. It can happen easily indoors (temp/humidity balance). If they were just moved outside they may have had it before the move. Overwatering can be a cause as well as other condition issues.
Ask your coworker how they use it, since they are familiar with the compost. If they don't use it in pots, ask how thick they lay it on their beds (how many square feet do they cover with a yard?).
I ordered 1oz spice jars from sks. https://www.sks-bottle.com/product/3957.html
They don't currently have them available with the sifter insert, but I now have some of those. They did have jar & cap available though.
Yep.
Peat and/or coir for the bulk
10%-20% vermiculite and perlite

The Brainstrain Yellow and Carbon x BBG7 are duking it out for hardest "Y".
The Brainstrain has the advantage in girth and purpling.
The Carbon x BBG has a much lower split and nicer symmetry.
The top link is the jar I was eyeing up the most. SKS has them for half that price but is out of sifter caps till August. I order a dozen of the second link. I sent them back as the caps didn't latch shut.
