Gee I was not expecting you to ask for advice. It has to be the weather. After all they are from warm places, with by and large not a lot of temp swings. You use the same soil and nutes, right? It does not look like a pathogen issue. I am sure they will be fine.
Yes San Diego has been a bit cool. At least near the beach. I have but one Rennie plant. but it is doing well. Pods by Sept would be my guess. It seem to have strong genes. It should be a staple thanks to Armac.
Your in a community grow right? Check your neighbors for similar issues. Things spread. Also it could be damage from someones chemical spray. Weed killer etc. I had damage once near a fence then I saw gardners using Roundup which drifted into my peppers. Not to say that is it but look around.
I bought 5 seeds and 2 were crushed. The 3 seeds I had all germinated fine. I used Rapid Rooters, kept pretty moist and left the heat mat on the warmer side (85 plus) . I just tend to go a little warmer and wetter than some. It seems to work for me.
This is the smallest one. Good luck everyone.
Hey Nigel I am growing Cheiro Roxa. It was the last thing I sowed and I just potted them up. Pretty plants. When I get pods I will hook you up. The Hidlago I believe is a type of Serrano?
The darker the Bhut, the hotter and less fruity. Most Chocolate/Brown versions of peppers seem to loose the fruitiness and have a more sinister personality. I would say the 7 Pod (Pot) Brown might be the hottest by a slim margin over Douglah. The Chocolate Bhut crossed with a Yellow 7 Pod (Pot)...
Mist it. 90% plus of the time they will come off. Sometimes the "helmet" will stay and the true leaves will still grow out. Trying to remove it is a risky thing.
Dr. Bubra (John) is a new member with vast intrest in a lot of cool stuff. He and his family are from Ghana. He did a search and saw that I was growing 3 Ghana peppers that I got in a trade. He expressed how much it would mean to his family if i could sell or trade some pods later in the season...
