That macho 2.0 will really lay waste to white flies. :onfire:  Id use that & have used a similar product on my citrus trees for whitefly. (and on pepper plants for aphids) Why don't you (OP) just take the plants outside, spray them with whatever then bring them back inside? Also if the plants...

    The Great Kiwi Pepper Thread

well I think its safe to say this is a very unstable hybrid we are dealing with :) look how dark some of these are can hardly make out the one at top right against the dirt..while others are normal/bright green. interesting. I will probably keep the purple ones, and the strongest green one and...

Just a few random pics from after watering plants this morning before work :)   im going to rip the pumpkin plant out..that grew itself.   rocotos are getting quite big and plentiful         and lastly, so far I have 7* sprouts from the assumed hybrid from the previous post :)  (6...

seeds Leaves on Seedlings Turning White

Unfortunate that they were stunted but they seem to be growing out of it and doing fine now. The new growth is fine, so IMO nothing to really worry about.   I would put the yellowing cotys down to too much water, although your soil looks to be about right so maybe not. Maybe they were a bit damp...

Nice work. Your plants are looking really good and healthy. Your going to have a shit load of pods very soon lol. Yea im hoping we are going to have a delayed summer, as opposed to just a cool / mild summer.   I dont think iv even seen an aphid this season which is nice. They are usually the...

seeds Germinating directly in soil, when to remove humidity cover?

those helmet heads are examples of ones you dont need to worry about. See how the cotys are growing out of the seed casing anyway, and its sort of holding onto the end of the leaf only? in these cases the casing will either drop off, or the plant will just continue to grow normally with a seed...

    First time plant problems

My point with the water PH was only that if the soil is kept waterlogged (with tap water) it may be create a temporary high ph situation for the plant.  Similar to sitting the plant roots in a bucket of plain tap water then adding nutrients. It wont uptake them properly due to the PH.   Ignoring...

    First time plant problems

I cant see your images, but yellow new growth usually equals an iron / sulphur problem. Both of which come about due to a high PH, and both of which are also a remedy for high PH.   Seeing that you are in Australia, im sure your water will have a fairly high PH as not to make the plumbing rust...

    The Great Kiwi Pepper Thread

Just a few random pics of things. nothing too exciting. Im starting to get quite a few pods on the pubes which will be welcome. Most of my chinense are starting to bud up now so will be flowering over the next few weeks id think.   reapers (i think) in ground   more in ground reapers   #BP3...

yep, figured it had to be a hybrid as opposed to a cross due to the single pod per node, and I think your right about it having douglah in there. not sure ill have time, I put seeds to dirt this morning. Would not expect big plants but should have long enough to get a few plants with a few pods...

    The Great Kiwi Pepper Thread

Added this to my grow at the last minute. Put seeds to soak yesterday.  Its a hybrid that grew out of either 7pot SR strain, or douglah seeds.   (i gave a pack of 7pot SR and a pack of douglah seeds to relatives and this is what grew). Plant has black / purple stems. Fruit turn from purple (when...

How do I transplant this pepper?

I would cut down the middle and cut off as much plastic as I could with scissors, then plant it leftover plastic n all.

overwintering Can I encourage this Cayenne to thrive over winter?

Its not really going to bush out without substantially more light. Its lanky like it is (was) due to lack of light. Lack of light increases the spacing between the nodes / leaves. if you chop the top off it, it will sprout new branches out the side of the trunk, but its only going to get stocky...

health Whats wrong with my reaper?

IMO, New growth looks ok so nothing to worry about. Some of the old leaves are a bit patchy but the plant appears to have moved on from whatever that issue was.   Watch how much you fert you apply though. Unless the soil is currently devoid of nutrients (really old soil or coco) you probably...

Slow pod growth in some plants

Its the minimum overnight temps that gets to them.   for example, if you had 25deg days, and 10deg night. They are not going to do well even though the daytime high is quite good. If you had 25 deg days, and 20deg nights, they will do very well.   edit; and obviously some plants handle the cold...

Slow pod growth in some plants

if its getting colder, as opposed to warmer, then its probably starting to spit out winter pods. Winter pods are usually small like you described and don't grow any larger. They will stay small and stunted and will still usually turn red after a couple months, but generally don't have any heat...

fertilizer Why do so many people still use high P fertilizers?

Why do we have religion when science exists? :)   I think it just comes down to having choices. Businesses like to sell products and people like to have choices. People like to think that their choice is the best choice. Right or wrong.   Companies need to differentiate their products enough...
