Green pequins. Becoming mildly obsessed honestly. Had some red on a burger still loved em. Part of the fun is in the range of heat. Lol. Love the surprise.
Gotta say seeding is relaxing as can be. Even though I take a whole lotta space to do it. I find drying them on a crawfish tray to be a great way to do it though after getting em out. You do the peroxide wash or tend to stray from it? I'm not sure which I prefer yet.
Haha. Id hate to chomp down...
I've found myself munching on green pequins daily now since getting some from a woman that grows em to cool with. Anyone else snack on stuff like this or do yall prefer them as ingredients?
With the LA Hot Sauce Expo and world hot sauce awards ending yesterday, figured it'd be appropriate to see if anyone would be interested in a casual bbq/potluck style get together towards the end of the season/year as a chance to meet up, chow down, and chill out. Anyone interested?
I've had this happen so many times with bell peppers at restaurants I had started ignoring it. Lol. The green more than the red. Seen 2 growing inside a red once but I still have no clue what causes it.
Hey Wicked Mike, been trying to sift through pages of this post but figured it's quicker to ask this way, have any spots left for the new round?
*saw post about round three after bumping me to the end. Round three of possible. May throw in some goodies besides seeds.
I'm waiting to hear back from the actual supplier of these pods but this could be a good lead as well.
I wish I could! All I have to go on is the pod! Lol
Hadn't had the chance to try them. But I will be eating them tomorrow after I've had the chance to save some seeds. The nose on it is quite...
Definitely agree there.
No flowers sadly. However someone messaged me saying they resemble red Trinidad Perfume peppers. And I'm kinda leaning that way as far as best possible ID so far. I'll look into the mushroom pepper though.
@bhutcamp well now I'm stumped. Lol. I have to agree with you...
Hey folks. Need another ID. Got these from the same pepper lady at the farmers market that the mystery pepper came from. Talked to her some more. Turns out her husband is the one that grows everything. Alas he doesn't attend the market and she doesn't know much about the different peppers...
I was going to but have to go to an ultrasound for my baby girl! Only thing in the world Id want to miss it for! Next year though, watch out! I'll be running a booth!
Most of my plants have been loving the intermittent rain. Especially my dragons claw peppers. But that said its better for my pumpkins than anything. Thank god the peppers are all still thriving in the pots minus one super stunted cayenne.
Hey folks. Just curious as to if anyone ended up studying this in college/at university. Been thinking about abandoning my old major, again, for this. Thankfully some credits transfer but I'm caught in that loop of, I just need something to provide for my child/just finish already vs. studying...
I've got a crazy mystery pepper I'll be growing out so try finding random crosses from people. But other than that go for something not from the norm. Eg: Not Chinense, annum, fructenses, etc.
Id love some more of the wild types available.
