    Greetings and salutations

Hi y'all, Been on here before but lost all my stuff. Recently moved up to the beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon. Interested to see how the whole no sun thing works for a city seemingly devoid of fresh hot peppers. Looking to start a shadowy cabal of pepper growers up here. Skol!

    Bearded's shabby garden

Thanks Sirex. The black prince grows like a little weed. It never usually gets any bigger than it is but it will keep pumping out little pods of candy goodness all through the winter.    Speaking of winter, I have started seeds for next spring. Not much different than this year's garden list...

    Bearded's shabby garden

Long time, no see pepperheads. This is the current Not So Shabby Garden For summer 2015. It's been a beauty summer so far here in Ontario. Hot days with the occasional thunderstorm (always after watering, I might add) here and there.    Big Mama. Not sure what it is but it is scrumptious,  ...

    vendor Ebay windsong-2

This is the ebay seller I got most of my seeds from. Took a gamble on ebay and it paid off. Every seed has grown true, save for the red bhut (jury's still out) with great germination rates. Not a total loss ass whatever the peppers are are delicious, slightly sweet and hot as hell. Always sends...

Not a clue what this is..

Dragon, I picked the pod in the picture a week or so ago - just couldn't help myself. The cut pods went from green to blackish then brown and sat there for the better part of a week. I was waiting for them to ripen to red but they seemed to stall out. I'll leave the rest of the plant to...

Not a clue what this is..

I should add that the seeds were from the infamous ebay. Every seed I have started from this seller has grown true, so it's just curiousity more than anything.

Not a clue what this is..

Hey y'all,   I've had this plant for a year and some change and it hasn't started flowering and podding up until this summer. It was mislabelled as a poblano at first. It was then thought to be my lost red bhut plant. The first pull has come and, well, they're chocolate brown. This first batch...

Oh for sure I'm keeping it. For those two pods and to compare the cut and untouched over-wintered.

    Kill the D@#m gnats...Please!

I recently had a gnat problem as well. Still a few lingering here and there. I didn't end up getting the dunks but i did vacuum out the first inch of soil then repotted in fresh soil after inducing severe dehydration. I bought a few of the fly papers at the he dollar store (ftw!) and laid them...

    Bearded's shabby garden

Hey y'all, Accidently planted my new seedlings in mixed high-ishly nitrogenized soil and they're feeling it. Wise to wait it out and hope for the best or repot in less harsh soil and hope for the best? Fellowship, I am your nagging, ever whining Frodo and once again I am crying and falling...

    My carnivorous plants [Pictures heavy]

Yeah sorry I should have been more specific. I assumed since some take years to mature they'd have a few more seasons of life than other plants but didn't expect them to be able to live indefinitely.
