hydroponic DIY Hydroponic System Controller - V1

WOW, looks amazing. You should make and sell them when you get it finalized. I paid almost $4,000 for my ND MK2, thing works like a charm though, just haven't got the PC interface set up yet. I have to finish my office first. I am going to watch this like a hawk. Looking forward to updates.

hydroponic Best place to order hydroponics supplys

amhydro.com is top notch. They cater to everyone and have been in business for a long time. I've spent close to 50k with them and have not one single complaint. They treat all their customers the same, big or small.

DWC Grow 5 Gallon Totes Going Good

I really like the totes. I've seen this done with 5 gal buckets. The "other" growers call them bubble buckets. Are the totes completely light proof? I would drop a strong flash light into one (empty of course) in a completely dark room. ANY LIGHT that gets through will cause algae growth which...

    nutrients Selecting hydro nutrients?

Check out Canna Coco. I have a few friends that use their stuff and swear by it. You could build your own system fairly cheap. I will take some detailed pictures of my propagation tables sometime next week and shoot you a PM. It's fairly simple, set the timer to keep medium moist, keep pH and...

    nutrients Selecting hydro nutrients?

I really like the General Hydroponics Flora Series. Our hydroponic greenhouse uses a custom blend from these guys, we use well water and they custom mix based on what our well sample contains.

    Smart Pot Grow...

Smart Pots are nice. If you go any bigger than a #2 they make them with handles, makes for a lot easier moving. I plan on using #5 and #10's for isolation next year. I figure that if I spread my seed plants to the farthermost corners of our lot (50ish acres) I should be okay.

    pests APHIDS HEEEEEELLLLLLLP!!!!

    Sure to Grow 1.5 starters

We used 1" Oasis cubes for all of our seedlings. Although we mostly grow lettuce I used the cubes almost each year to start around 350 tomato plants which get potted up to soil in 3" pots. I don't have any pictures of tomatoes or peppers but here is a pic of one of my flood and drain propagation...

    52 minerals

Another +1 for Azomite. I've been using this stuff for the past three years on my whole garden. At 75 to 150lbs an acre initially and 50lbs per acre every year after $45 takes care of me every year... Compared to Kelp Meal at 300 to 800lbs an acre at roughly $70 a 50lb bag the Azomite is my...

    soil soil conditions

For containers I like to start with either ProMix or Sunshine. Then its on to the fun stuff, greensand, dolomitic lime, rock phosphate, kelp, guano's, worm castings, bone meal, blood meal, alfalfa meal, cotton seed meal, etc... The one thing I always use either in the garden or containers is...

fertilizer Best fertilizer to increase Phosphorus and potassium

I second anything by Botanicare, we use some of their products in our hydroponic greenhouse with great results, and scratching in a bit of Kelp is never really a bad thing.

    Howdy

I live and work on a farm. We just finished building a 30'x130' Greenhouse where we grow hydroponic lettuce. As of now our main market is at a local Farmers Market where so far this year I have not seen one single specialty pepper, other than a few Bhuts. The plan next year is to plant out about...
