Here in Arkansas, I'm hoping for at least a couple more weeks before frost. But the weather can change quickly at times. A couple of weeks may give me enough time to have most of the bigger pods to ripen.
My question is what do you all do with all the green pods at the end of the season that didn't have a chance to ripen yet. I'll probably have 10 or more gallons of unripen pods at the end of the season. The final podding of my plants are so loaded that the branches are nearly weighted to the...
The seeds for this plant was labeled as Butch T. Three other plants that I planted from that same packet were true Butch T's. But this plant is clearly a bhut. My bhuts that are labeled red, never turn white.
So is it ripe at white and more ripe at red? Are seeds not good until they turn...
I have a ghost pepper where the pods start out green then they turn white for awhile before finally turning red. My question is, do white ghost turn red when fully ripened?

Wow!! You are really bringing some Capsaicin to your Nation!! I keep my varieties around the ten mark. My favorite pepper by taste is the Jalapeño. I've often wished that there was a super hot with the taste of the Jalapeño. I have grown and stressed Jalapeños that seemed to get near...
Looking awesome. I hope that you get bountiful harvests for your first year. Then you'll be hooked and have to join the Pepper Anonymous club. ... ... ... Wait, wait I think that you are already here!!
Due to too much heat stress in the evening, I had to move all the peppers to the west side of my yard to get some evening shade. I may save a little water by not having to water them quite so often.
Yellow Ghost
Red Ghost
Giant Red Ghost
Naga Viper
Trinidad Scorpion Butch T
And three that I was finally able to overwinter from last year:
Brown Moruga
Chocolate Moruga
Caramel Moruga
They have sun all day long. I may move them into a spot that gets evening shade later this year. We...
Some of the peppers pictured above were stragglers. Once the rain calmed down a little and they received more sunshine they seemed to explode with growth. Peppers seem to be more forgiving than most other plants that I've grown.
