1st Pornage of the Season!......barely

Looking good bro that Aribibi Guasano looks and sounds like a nice variety ... may the good luck continue

Thanks Trippa, I'll probably take all whats on the 3 Aribibi plants and combined them with some bird peppers and some orange thai, and bottle up some thick "Piri-Piri" sauce!..."yum on the munchies"

Now that the needed rain has stopped....a few more photos

Nice pics, those douglahs look mean. Seems like things are picking up now that we're getting a break from the heat.

Hey ,T.P.G.M.....thanks for the reply, You're right they do look pretty mean, I'm waiting for a combo of different brown peppers to mature so I can bottle some sauce. It's good to see another Illini on the boards, what part of the state are you from?, your right about the weather we finally had some rain over-nite , the sun is now shinning thru the clouds and the leaves on my plants are reaching for the sky....its a good sight to see, no wilting today.....thanks

I'm going to be doing the same, I have a ton of chocolate bhuts getting ready to ripen. My douglahs are starting to pick up too so should not be long. Where did you get your douglah seed from? I'm in the rockford area. Your garden looks awesome.

Great looking pods, and nice photos! :) Where did you obtain that Aribibi? They look like they have been crossed with something. Normally all the pods would be uniform, look like caterpillars, with an inverted dimple on the tip (not a point).

I thought someone would eventually mention it .....good for you....only a few pods have that "caterpillar" look and mine are more yellow, but their very tasty and I've incorprated them in some recent sauces. The seeds were bought from "Peppermania" although all others seeds from Beth are growing true....

Thats what the hell Im talking about! You know we be growing some trees when we use 1x2s for stakes :) GROW ON!

Ur...right there, the taller 8ft. stakes were ripped down from some 5/4" x 8' cedar decking, soon I'll have to start laterally training the tops of the plants!

Once they get that big, I like to let their hair down a bit and allow the shoots from the center to rocket towards the sun. Only to let them eventually fall down and start the process all over again. These super hots act a lot like vines, so a good grower will take note and treat them like one

Looking awesome ... Amazing space (or now lack of by the looks of the overwhelming jungle) you have there. Those Douglahs look unreal and have now just inspired me to order some for myself. Well done

Excellent pornage!

PS
Red Bulgarian Carrot? :surprised:

Good call........thought there was something strange when the pods changed from orange to red (not shaped like a carrot neither), :( did some back tracking and I figured out its not "the carrot" but the "Hawaiian Waialua"....my fault for mislabeling
