This is my first thread and im planning to write about this year hot peppers grow in Slovenia, Europe. At the moment, we are in the middle of winter, temperatures reaching -15 degrees Celsius and i already started on seedlings for next year. Im planning to grow several different strains, specifics mentioned in the bottom. Wow, you are doing so well!

You mentioned "the Damjan ones, which were way too crowded and too tall" - you can plant them deeper, you know, up to the level of the seed leaves.  That can help if they have got leggy. Absolutely. Roots will come out of the stem under the cotys.

Where are you going to put all your 100 plants by April when they are getting big and bushy?  You definitely need to be very nice to your mum!

I do this with every plant after i transplant them into individual cups. Well, plants will be exactly where they are now, until weather gets a bit warmer and i will be able to put them outside during the day. At night I will put them inside into an empty room. After that i will try to keep them in greenhouse until we don t plant peppers and tomatoes there. After that they will go into my garden and raised beds. The biggest plant of each type will be grown in a pots or buckets infront of my house, where is direct sun light almost entire day.

Status update : My largest plants got attacked by some insects..currently im removing them by hand, but if this will continue, i will have to use some more agressive approaches. My Jalapenos also sprouted and i plan to put them into individual cups this weekend. Otherwise, all plants look happy and waiting for May to come.

The plants look ok.
What kind of insects... fungus gnats or aphids? Its kinda early for aphids even though it's warmer than it should be for this time of year.

They do look like aphids, but they're white... So far I noticed them only on the largest 5 ones..
Do you have wooly aphids in your area? They are white and kind of fuzzy looking. I had them here last year for the first time.

Do they look like that?

Sorry, just kidding. I had to when you wrote fluffy.

On the serous note. Those white fluffy ones (are they called "white flies") are usually around my rocotos (but in the early summer), I don't know why, but they seem to like them more. And it is a real hassle to make them leave, usually the best way is to squish them by hand till they disapear.
The green aphids usually like those young tops of plants, just like those you have now. The leaves get curly when they're sucking the juice out of them.

I'll try to take picture of them when i go home. So far they did not caused any damage, but its still unpleasant to watch them roaming around my plants..

Glad plants seem unharmed.
Looking forward to your pic.

Apparently  those white bastards left for good..I couldn't find any of them today. But one plant does look like it got some kind of burn or something. All the rest look good. FIM topping didn't work on my tiger skins, so I cut top of one and it already looks like its going to be a bit bushier. They all want to flower already, i cut the flowers down, only one I left grow natural and its going to set up pods in a few weeks i think. One of trin. scorpions is growing without main top, kinda like a natural bush.. Im looking forward to results on that one. Rest of them are growing as planned and nothing special. Just for test i topped 2-4 of each strains to experiment what to do next year for max. production.

I finally managed to take a picture of those little bastards. They're white and they fly. Also, one of my scorpions looks really sad. It twisted up leaves and it leans on the side..dont know why.

Thanks man! I will treat them with combo of water and dish soap tonight. I read that they are almost immune to pesticides. I also try to be as natural as it can be..Spraying with chemicals is the last thing i will do if necessary.

Wondering if that Scorpion has stretched abit much on ya Petrac and maybe why it is doing the lean now?? Just a guess though, and I am sure the real pro's here will have a better answer then mine

I transplanted that scorp into another, a bit bigger pot and it seems like he likes it and looks a bit better now.

And about the whiteflies...I think this water and dish soap actually works quite nice....Today i found one white fly. There is quite a bit of other flies, but yellow sticky pads work like a charm and also from time to time i hunt them while they sit on a wind and i come running around with my soap-water mix and spray them like a madman on a killspree.. There is quite a few of them sticked to my window :)

Status update : It looks like Spring has fininally came. Plants look happy and growing well. Next week I will get some  cow manure for my raised beds, I emptied compost bin so i have some of that for pots and some aged manure which is practicly soil at this point. I believe plants will love a mixture of that. I got rid of whiteflies completly with that water-dish soap mix in two weeks.

Everything looking good;
