Have you discovered other interesting ways experiencing the 7Pod flavour ?

German love for potato chips(finger chips) is legendary.
In Dusseldorf, I used to have heavy breakfast and finger chips and hot sauce for dinner.
My street corner fingerchips man nearly fainted the first time at his very hot sauce quantity I asked for with my chips. He couldn't believe that any one can eat so much of hot sauce.

He got used to this mad pepperhead later on.
Every night, he would wait for me and then close his shop.
Try making a hot sauce and have it with sausage or Finger chips.

I have just read this entire thread. Awesome pictures by the way. I have a couple of questions.

01. I noticed that one of my fellow Texans felt he had issues with our Texas heat over the summer. So is high heat an issue for pepper plants?

02. I am going to plant in the garden this spring. If I keep a couple of 7 pot/pod plants in 15 gallon containers and move them into the warehouse during frost times will the plant survive?

03. Will my butt explode the first time I eat one of these?

04. Am I getting on yalls nerves with all these question? ¿Que?

!!. Shade Cloth rules. What is optimum % shade, temp, airflow though?
!2. I think I will bring some out of the dark cold garage this winter on warmer days, but will this cause them to dry out if they get more than a couple hours of too much good sun(shade cloth inserted here)?
!3. I wouldn't eat a whole one. Try a little at a time if there is a question.
!4. Who is Yalls? I just know yer anoyin' the hell out of me. Get a life. 'kay?

Hope you enjoyed your stay at D-Dorf. Eating chips at night is nice (especially after some beers).

Besides, I am not so much into finger chips, I prefer the real potato chips. I guess, what you called finger chips are french fries, right ? For me, potato chips are the thin slices of fried potatoes, and I could imagine doing some 7Pod-powder over them would be nice.

I just had baked potatoes last night with the hot stuff. I topped them with butter, sour cream, chives, and lots of Scorpion powder. Love them taters!:)

Maybe all you ladies can stay on subject here and talk about about the 7 Pod.:P I shiver even thinking about eating a raw 7, your best use is in sauce as even the powder is too hot sometimes. Great on a baked potato agreed, some pics for this page.

Beautiful pictures! Unfortunately it will be another 6 months before I have any pictures to post. My 7 pot this past season only produced 3 pods. One had bug damage and the other 2 never ripened before we got a frost. So, this year I have several different seed sources, including your brain strain, that I can't wait to try.

Happy New Year!

1. Mid summer heat can definitely be a problem. Even in Canada I use a shade cloth on my greenhouse to keep temps down, and for hardening plants off.

2. Yes but a 15 gallon pot is probably too big to start with. You'll likely do better potting up only as needed and this will likely get you up to a 5 or 10 gallon pot. When you bring your plants indoors you can trim them way back, including the roots if desired to make room for new root growth, or you can keep potting up but you'll likely run out of room quickly.

3. Yes, if they are grown properly

4. Not yet:)

It seems to me, insulting sometimes works better ;)
One of my neighbors has a lemon tree. When it does not perform well he takes a stick and beats the crap out of it. Beleive it or not, I have seen that tree produce very well after a beating. I have no idea what that is about but he does it.
