7 Pod skin porn..

Welcome to thehotpepper John, we have debated this numerous times and I will continue to call it 7 Pod. That is how I received the seed that I grow and share freely with other members of this forum. I'm not going to change the name because something just sounds cool.

we can call it the 7 deadly sins for all I know...they are definitely deadly...but as you see Cappy, I still call it 7 Pot...makes no nevermind what we call it, we all know what we are talking about...

I am not the one who brought this up. I don't really care, you can call it whatever you want just saying when I got the seed from Sara they were labeled 7 Pod. Just happy to be able to share with many people here that did not have this seed before me. Seen lots of people here that have my source of seed for Seven Pod. I have quit calling it brain strain and thought that was enough. I think I have done my part.:mouthonfire:

I would love to try growing some of those next season.
Do you have any of the 7 seeds left?
Thanks!

Maybe another member will step up here. I just lost a bunch of 7 Pod seed I had saved this year because of mold in a baggie. I have my backup seeds and my going on 3 year old mother Seven Pod plant inside. Good luck finding seeds cueguy.

Thanks to those who gave me a warm welcome. I am from Bangor, Maine.

Pepper Ridge

I like you retain the name that my source attaches to the seeds. ( Even when that sometimes seems in error). As you can see there are several ways of naming this pepper.

7 Pod Brain Strain
7 Pot directly from Trinidad
Seven Pod
Seven Pot Jonah Strain-again from Trinidad

What's tiresome is your continuing to state your position ( in every post)and lack of acknowledgment that others may, like you, be retaining the name they received. Give it a rest--or don't-that's all I have to say on the subject.

Warmest welcome John thanks for agreeing on keeping the name that came with especially for this strain. I have a new project of Brown 7 Pod(Douglah) that I plan on growing a lot of next year. It's the hottest chocolate pod wrinkled skin and creamy white colored inside, capsaicin covered meltdown. Same source as the red. Seen your plant photos kudos johnf good to have you.:)

I'm growing 7 podts this year, got me seeds from Neil at THSC. The warm weather killed off all of my last batch of seedlings. :(

Hope to see some pods from them next year, 7 podt pods look wicked.

Well I'm happy to finally add to this thread. My first Yellow7:woohoo:

I took a dozen pics and this was the best I could do. Camera focused on everything but the pod...

Hey John all 7 Pod pics are very welcome in this thread for comparison reasons. I grew three different sources of Douglah seed this last year. The Trinidad Douglah is not grown commercially in Trinidad as this is a chile found in the back country. So it is possible different strains may surface in the years to come. Yours looks like the ones I grew from cmpman1974 source, but the one I picked to grow from many taste tests is different in shape and thicker skin. Slender, not blocky pods but the inside is dripping creamy capsaicin. I see Megamastger71 also grows the exact same shaped Douglah in this thread. John don't want a pissing match but yes they are the same chocolate fire pod.

OK, I wanted to contribute some 7Pod pics, all are from the Jonah-strain. I really love the flavour, and thats why I found this forum, googling 7Pod around. The plants were grown indoor, but I got a nice hot harvest.
All is still green:

Oh yes. :mouthonfire: I read here about the brain strain, which should be much hotter than the Jonah. I believe it, but cannot quite imagine that. The Jonah is already so hot, that the difference between a Habanero or a Fatalii and the 7Pod is like the difference between digital and analog.

Well, I will try out the Douglah and the Yellow for next year.

Loved the photographs.

How do you use the beauties?

Thank you. Well, I love all kind of noodles, so normally the 7Pod goes into the sauce (red or white sauce). Some of it are dried und I took some to power up my red chili powder a little bit. Except one little bite I never tried them pure. Did not even had them on a pizza. For Pizza, Fatalii and Habaneros are enough for me. As thinking about it, I eat 7Pod about every 10 days, should stay something special for me.:)

Have you discovered other interesting ways experiencing the 7Pod flavour ?
