AJ, I'm just concerned about that shadow in one of your pictures. Are you aware someone's stalking your garden and looking for plants? :)

Chris

You know, I thought I heard something...actually when I am out there with my plants, they warn me of approaching intruders...

Amazing AJ! +200 plants! What are you gonna do with all your chilis? :)

most of them will be dried and ground into powder...am going to mix and match all the powders for different tastes and burns...I am looking for a specific taste I can't describe but I will know it when I taste it...I really like the O. Hab/O. Thai/Tabasco Mix taste..but it is lacking both heat and front burn...that is why I am adding tepins/pequins to the mix...that will give it the immediate front burn on the tip of the tongue and lips but it goes away rather quickly....

rambling again...

It can get quite expensive but not as bad as some other hobbies and/or addictions;) Thats how I justify the costs anyways:lol:

Like roadracing motorcycles? Man this is a CHEAP hobby compared to that:shocked::lol:. Let's just say a set of race tires once a month adds up!

Also, AJ. Sweet collection!

It always depends on your budget. Some people spend more money on their hobby per week than others could spend on food per year. Needless to say, it's a cheap hobby in comparison, that's very true! And it saves us money, too. After all, we'd be buying pods if weren't growing them, right?

Yes you're right there. I spend too much buying fresh Scotch Bonnet pods each week, but in the summer when I don't need to I hope to to be rich, I should be with the amount I spend on chillis at the moment.

At least you can get Scotch Bonnets! All I can find are Thais (if I'm lucky) and some overpriced mixed packs that sometimes actually contain really nice pods, but nothing really special. I think I found a Scotch Bonnet in one of them once so far!

I don't get mine from a supermarket though, all we get is Birdeye, green Thai looking chillis or the "mild only God knows what they are". I asked my local fruit and veg man if he could get them when he went to the wholesalers and he said he could. He dosen't sell them in his shop but buys me a tray each week.

I tried that at an asian store, but gave up trying to make them understand what I was about after 5 mins and bought a batch of Thais. I can get Jalapenos, Habs, Nagas and more by mail and they are actually really good and fresh and not too expensive, but you have to buy at least one kilo and postage is 9€ so I'd need to make a really big order to make it worthwhile...
