EDIT:

I need to add some Jalapeno, Cayenne, and Bells to round out the list.

EDIT 2:

I purchased the following live plants:

Ecuadoran Hot Lemon and Jamaican Hot Chocolate Habanero (because I never have had success germinating these), Cayenne Golden, and Ristra Cayenne Hybrid (which failed to germinate; 0 for 14).

I also bought two live plant varieties of sauce tomatoes from Burpee (three each of Roma and SuperSauce Hybrid).

I love Chocolate Habaneros. Unfortunately my Black Congo ripened Red. I guess I'll have to try again next year. Your Brown Scorpion Cross is so gnarly! I love the texture. Everything looks great!

Thanks.

As the BLS cross is only F2, probably five to seven years before it will be fully stable.

Jigsaw:

Been awhile since I posted, the Jigsaw is about six and a half feet tall now.

Anyway, I have not done a real harvest yet this year, so, I picked about 500 pods after work, (Red Bhut, two different B.O.C., and Jigsaw) and the old lady takes about 100-150 to give to the neighbors!

Yes, I do still have probably a couple thousand pods to pick, and the frost is coming soon, but it pisses me off she just decides to give them away. A couple dozen, sure, fine. But, a gross? At least try to get a couple bucks, right?

OK, rant over.

Picked a few (hundred, maybe five or six) today:

Rectangular containers;

Top Left: Jigsaw
Top Right: Bhut Orange Copenhagen
Bottom Left: Yellow 7-Pot/King Naga cross. These are from seeds from a Brown Large Scorpion cross (see below) pod from last season. A recessive gene, obviously.
Bottom Right: Red and Chocolate Bhut Jolokia

One gallon buckets;

Top Left: Big Black Mama.
Middle Left: Peach Bhut Jolokia
Bottom Left: Chocolate Jay's Ghost/Scorpion
Top Right: Chocolate NagaBrain
Bottom Right: The aforementioned Brown Large Scorpion cross

Dang! pods you got ;)

Nice grow! I'm impressed
Thanks.

It has been a good year.

Actually, I have only posted pics of portion of all I have picked. I gave away over 500 various pods earlier in the season.

And, I several hundred on my other plants yet to pick.

This year, I have not been very diligent about harvesting, and would guess I have let hundreds more rot on the plant.

CPRs, very tiny, but so cute!

A couple more CPRs (right), normal size, I suppose, alongside some pods off a Caramel Madballz (left) (This plant made red pods, instead of caramel. Must have crossed with something???, probably the VV7 Scorpion it was growing near last season. Both plants were volunteers, by the way):

Harvesting a few seeds.

Not Caramel Madballz:

CPR:

Four or five peppers growing inside the one on the right.

I know better, but you just have to lick the knife, right?

Those Not Madballz were just wee bit spicy, so much so that, although I could taste the CPR, there was no sense of heat.

31°F tonight, 29°F tomorrow night.

If they survive, no frost for at least another week after that.

I am fond of quoting Jim Stafford: 'All good things must come to an end...'

Picked about a hundred, no pics, sorry, went right into the Excalibur.

Next up; flaking the dried pods, stay tuned.

Flakes/powders from this season:

Quart Mason jars, back row, left to right: Chocolate NagaBrain, Ecudoran Hot Lemon Cayenne, Jigsaw, Yellow 7-Pot Cross, Bhut Orange Copenhagen.

Pint Mason jars, middle row, left-to-right: Chocolate Bhut Jolokia, Red Bhut Jolokia, Peach Bhut Jolokia, Yellow 7-Pot/King Naga Cross (Powdered).

Pint Mason jars, front row, left-to-right: Chocolate Jay's Ghost/Scorpion, Big Black Mama, Brown Large Scorpion Cross.

Thank you!

I still have literally pounds of dried pods from 2015 to process, probably need another couple cases of Mason jars.

Here is wishing you and yours all best for the Holidays.
