New Year's Eve.

Time to get the 2017 Glog started.

Thanks. High praise from two of the most accomplished members. Much appreciated.

I might have to pot up a few in larger pots, but I do not have room to do them all.

Cayenne and Bells already making flowers.

Have to be patient, only 7 or 8 weeks (hopefully) until plant-out.

Wishing you guys, and eveyone else, a bountiful season.

I've grown BBM the last 2 years and this is the first time I've seen or heard about a purple one. However, my first year with them it grew exactly as it was supposed to, but last year it was red and a different wall thickness...just a different pod all around. I got my seeds from Troy Primeaux and used the same seed stock for both grows. Your plants look great!

Thanks for the reply, and thanks for the compliment.

I grew two plants last year from this same batch of seeds (PepperNorth) and neither had purple leaves. They were very productive and very hot.

Maybe I have a different hybrid/phenotype? I will definitely keep my eye on this one.

Thanks again.

You're very welcome! I remember Peppernorth had a Reaper x Pink Tiger that looked awesomely...maybe there's Pink Tiger or at least PDN in the mix. Definitely one I would watch closely as well. Here's a pic of the red BBM that grew last year (if you don't mind me posting it). Nothing like the year before.

@Paul & Slim,

Thanks for the encouragement, I truly appreciate it.

Whether or not the purple one is anything special; I just hope it is healthy and is a good producer. Anything else is just a bonus.

Good luck to each of you as well, and to everyone else, also.

Saturday morning, time for new pics.

The 'babies' are going strong:

The smaller plants are catching up:

The larger plants seem to have slowed down, expected for the pot size, I suppose:

The purple BBM really stands out.

~ 1/2 cu. yd. of last years medium from the root pouches
Several bucketsfull of ash from the wood burning stove
Sprinkled ~ 5 lbs. of azomite on top for the rain to soak in.
