alkhall 2017

New Year's Eve.

Time to get the 2017 Glog started.

I am cutting back this year, probably 50 or less plants.

The list so far:

MOA SCOTCHBONNET FOR COMPETITION (JUANITOS & RFC)
VENEZUELAN TIGER (RFC)
BROWN LARGE SCORPION CROSS (MY OWN - F3)
DEVILS BRAIN (96STRAT)
BLACK BHUTLAH SCORPION (96STRAT)
UNREAPER (96STRAT)
MA WARTRYX (96STRAT)
CHOCOLATE REAPER SCORPION (96STRAT)
BBG7/NAGA (96 STRAT)

BELLS - To be determined, but at least four varieties.
JALAPENO - BIG GUY, Maybe one other.
ECUADORAN HOT LEMON CAYENNE - (Live plants from Burpee)

The raised bed looks great - your plants will like that!

Your grow is happening, bro!

Thanks.

Getting antsy about getting the plants outside. Probably start hardening off end of next week, if the weather cooperates.

Was checking out your glog, you are way ahead of me.

Everything looks to be on schedule , the raised bed looks nice and healthy . Most definitely want to keep a eye on the purple foliaged BBM ,
might have a gem there ,

I'm with you, Al.  Can't wait to get things in the big containers.

I've just about given up trying to harden off here in the
Spring.  The weather is so variable, not consistent enough
to get plants out and hardened off before the weather cools
down again, and you have to harden off all over.  I'm about
at the point of saying 'forget it' the plants just will have to
deal with the weather they get

The 'babies' are outgrowing the others:

The smaller plants are not so small anymore:

The larger plants are spreading out:

Thanks for looking, four weeks until plant-out.

Plants all looking lush green and nice and healthy, there going to fly when you do plant out. Keep doing what your doing.

Plants are looking great!!! The weather has been really variable up here as well: last night was down to 33! I need to get my butt in gear and get my raised beds ready for the plant-out still.

Look forward to watching your progress.

Got down to 35°F Sunday night.

Memorial Day weekend is always my target plant-out, two and a half weeks to go.

Pics will be posted.

Looks to me like you are in great shape, Al,
both indoors and out!

Good luck getting to plant-out!

I have alot of catching up to do to look as good as yours.

I think you are already there, buddy!

Great to see those ladies in the dirt, Al!
Everything looks great - good luck sailing
into Summer!

I like the concrete construction blocks
for the raised bed.  Been thinking along same
lines, my original cedar boards are about
toast.

Thanks Paul,

Already seeing new growth, hopefully everything goes well.

I decided on concrete instead of wood simply because of longevity and no maintenance. I have been thinking about doing one with the stackable retaining wall type blocks.

Those would work great and look better
and you can vary the height of the wall.
