Anvil "The Story Of Anvil"

The TV premier is on VH1 tonight. A must see, even for those not into heavy metal. It's like Spinal Tap but in real life.........

I'll be checking that out for sure. They're some funny dudes! Anyone who writes a metal song called "show me your tits" is aces in my book.

what a class film i watched it a couple o weeks back, it beat the ass all the mass churned out hollywood bollocks.
Watched all the extras on the disc as well, i cut short the lars ulrich interview though because he started doing my head in with his 'i'm amazing' attitude, he went on and on about nothing much at all.
He need to get his head out of his ass a bit more often as his brain ain't getting enough oxygen.
But bar that blip anvil is defo the best film i've seen in a long long time

It really is a great film. Both hilarious and sad, it's a must-watch if you play or love rock n' roll. I think it's the best movie I've seen so far this year.

And kudos to That Metal Show for helping to break Anvil's story to the "mainstream".

that really was a great film. something that hasn't been captured before. It was also personally nice to see so much footage of Toronto and surrounding areas that I've been to.

true passion. where do you see that in the music industry anymore? I'm really surprised at how great that was. I was expecting a heavy metal joke film with no real point or purpose but I agree with Scott, it was both hilarious and sad.

Anvil AND Saxon? Sounds like a damn good night to me.

Saxon it's a loonngggggggggggggggtime since i've really listened to them although i do have a couple of their track from the strong arm of the law album on my phone somewhere

Same here! I've still got Power and the Glory on vinyl somewhere - I think I'll have to dig it out and spin it.

20,000 feet is one o my favs, granted it does sound well dated now be it's the memories that make it a classic song (in my book)
