Any updates on Josh?

Hey guys,
I just saw this thread and wanted to hop on and let everyone know I am well. I haven't been on with an update just due to life's normal distractions. The plants survived Irene fairly well. Several plants were blown over and a bunch of branches were broken but it wasn't too bad. Lost power for 48 hours. We filled our chest freezer along with a couple of coolers and drove them a few towns over to my father's work (they still had power). I had a little flooding in my basement. Without power the shop vac was out. We used small cups to scoop up the deeper areas and then soaked the rest up with towels. That was tedious. Soak, ring, repeat.

I was gone this past Friday-Monday to PA for my cousins wedding.

I also started a new job this week. Hopefully I will snap some pictures this weekend and update my log.

I really appreciate the concern. We were very lucky. 1 town over people had water flood their basements and then the first floor.

Thanks again everyone.

On a side note, how are you PA guys fairing this week? My Aunt in Berwick says they got 10" of rain and are seeing flooding in nearby areas.

We got boatssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though there is bad flooding in the low areas.
All is fine in this neighborhood, but across the river....well that should say it all.

Glad your plants made it. A nice surprise for you I sure.

Glad to hear you're all safe and sound. Up North we're still recovering from Irene. There are some parts of Vermont still w/out power accessible only via helicopters 'cause of damaged roads and bridges . Vermonters know how to shovel 5/6 ft of snow, slide all over the icy roads, ice skate on parking lots, shop on -30 F wind chill etc, but when it comes to hurricanes we’re pure amateurs. Keep safe and have some boats and flippers ready to go. :)

I am glad all is well.

Thanks. I took your advice partially and tide all my stakes together. The idea was that they would help support each other. You can check my grow log for pictures.

Thanks for the well wishes. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hopefully all is well by now. Back in 2007 I spent a week at a friends cabin in Vermont. I cannot remember where but it was one long drive. I don't recall the road I was on but there was like 30 miles between exits. Beautiful place...
