Are you a prepper?

Thanks Grant, now I want to go on that show: "I is preparing for the eminent shut down of this here simulation."

Of course picked that one because it would involve the least amount of work.  No reason to store simulated food if your simulated life will end.

As far as prepping, I make sure we have at least a full years food supply, along with the same in water supply that's refreshed before every hurricane season.

MeatHead - Here it is the ice season.  First year living here, was three weeks without electricity.  Two of those weeks it was impossible for a four wheel drive to get out of the area if you stayed on the roads.  Too much ice up the hills.  Now if you went off the road, your tires crunched threw the ice cause it was on top of the snow, so not much of a problem if you had four wheel drive and really good tires.

So many people seem to want to prep for horrific doomsday events.  I like to be prepared for the normal things that we see every day on the news.  That and grocery prices keep going up.

Grass Snake, yes and yes.  But not the bug out type.  I am thinking building the ability to survive is more my thing.  That is essentially what my lifestyle is, building the ability to survive rising grocery prices, water prices, electricity prices, and so on.  Currently, we sell produce to make money for other needs but if the doomsday prepper types are right, I imagine instead of selling produce for money and then giving that money to someone for hay I could trade produce to them for hay.  You know, the whole everyone has to eat thing.
