Ask a Walmart Garden Center Employee Anything.

why do the people at walmart tell me there are posted signs for policies that are not there and blame it on the construction at the other end of the store? oh, and when is the best time to buy a folding chair. also, why don't they carry canning jars?

The Walmart near me carries canning jars. In fact, both of them near me carry canning jars. Have you asked about them? I can see they might be considered a seasonal product, maybe most people don't can in the winter?

i asked 3 people they said they stopped carrying them 2 years ago when i saw them there 2 months ago... maybe they just have a language barrier or something? all of them? haha idk

Are you, in fact, the CEO of Wallmart, and is this some weird less successful spinoff of "undercover boss"?

I wish

My girlfriend is from SRQ. I told her someone on here mentioned the Bahai hut, she said they have a two drink limit on them Mai Tai? lemme at em! I have never been. But i spent much time in dat hood.

This thread is great, I don't even care. More people at other professions should offer up such valuable information

I havnt gotten many of the questions I thought I would get.

They are blowing you off. What policies are you referring to? Summer time, and Walmart carries a ton of canning jars this time of the year.

The individual store may not carry them. It is all about profit. If they dont sell, why carry them. Talk to a store manager not a sales associate. Sales associates can not do anything for you.

about not being able to return ammo, the lady's reply when i got really pissed there were no signs was "well everyone just knows you can't do that" trying to make me feel like an idiot so i'd shut up and leave.

I Know this is Irrelevant but Do You know about the Walmart video with the Pigs? and Do all Walmarts Get there Food From those Pigs?

how come at my walmart they dont maintain the garden center area? it is used for mainly storage and bicycle assembly. and when you go to buy a bag of soil it is shrink wrapped on a pallet cant even get to it!!:(, they also dont carry any natural mulch it is all plastic crap

All gun and ammo sales are final. There should be a sign about it. If the sign is missing, you can bitch until there is a sign but they still will not take back guns or ammo. Its all about law and safety.

Sorry. I don't know anything about meat department.

We have to deal with this too. The palets of soil and mulch should be unwrapped. Actually there should be an associate to load it for you. Later in the season the Garden center is used to store bicycles and assemble them for christmas. It is a seasonal department. Garden center employees handle all things seasonal. Christmas and bicycles are a part of it.

I'm looking to start my superhots for next year after Christmas. Do you guys still carry any potting soil or seed starters in the off season, or do I need to buy it now before they put it all away til spring.

I'm not sure about everwhere, but in FL, it is against the law.

My Walmart doesn't carry canning jars either.

OP what kind of questions were you expecting?

What is the meaning of life? And can I find it in the Garden Center?

Great on you for putting yourself out there to answer all these questions. You even deal with the foolish ones professionally! Does the garden center give away anything at the end of the season if you ask for it?

Yes.

Where's the mens room?

I got a stinger on deck.

Restrooms are located between Grocery and GM entrance, and in our site to store area.

Yes we do but the replenishment is deminished. Sometimes we may not even order more until the time is appropriate. This also depends on your local store. Typically what is left after the season is all you get.

Any.

I'd be interested to see the statute on that. I highly doubt any state legislature would make a law banning returns on firearms or ammo. Hell, some municipalities have gun turn in day where they give you gift cards for your old broken guns. My bet is it is just a walmart policy some lawyer drafted to mitigate a perceived or real liability.

Here is a couple of questions for the OP:
How come I can carry a concealed weapon at Walmart, but if I want to buy a shotgun, the sales associate has to carry it all the way to the front door and hand it to me on my way out?
How come 18 year old kids can buy 22LR for a handgun, but they wouldn't be allowed to buy 357mag for thier Marlin rifle?

In PA you can open carry at Walmart. It's entertaining.

Ok, one more:

why is it that when a 3 y/o takes off their clothes and runs around the store screaming it's 'cute' yet when I do it they call security on me. Every single time. ?
