ASK THE NEXT PERSON ANYTHING ! GAME !

Well, I wound up with more dried pods and pepper powder than I could ever possibly use in the next year.  So I think my results were good.  But I really have no other years to compare this one to.  However, I did put one pepper plant in the ground in the spring, and after some initial slow growth, it ended up growing bigger than any of my container plants.  It podded up so much, in fact, that the bamboo stakes I used could not support the weight.

How do you support your plants, specifically to protect them from the wind?

Off the top of my head, Carolina Reapers, Morugas, Choc. Bhutlah, Bhutlah x Bubblegum 7's (Chocolate & Red), Choc. Brain Strains, Bhuts, Choc. Habs, Choc. Scotch Bonnets, and what I assume are Caribbean Red Habs (even though the nursery said the starter plants were Reapers).  I may have missed a variety or two though.

What is the largest amount of pods you've ever harvested from one plant???

I didn't really count or weigh the pods I harvested this year, unfortunately.  That is something I'm going to make sure I do in 2017 though.

What are some hot pepper varieties you have never grown but would like to?

Im thinking 2017 is gonna be the year for taste. I tend to powder most of my superhots and currently have tons of powder. i also cook with the pods. I would like to grow for lower heat that i can just pluck and munch right off the vine.

What is your favorite color pepper?

I really dislike the soapy taste that i've gotten from some peppers. I surely like bhuts over scorpions. Scorpions seem kinda metallic tasting, but powder well. I dislike the kinda mouth burn i get from a manzano. it bites me way different than any other pepper.

can ya give me a short list of tasty low heat that would be good to mix in my powders?

Chile de Aqua medium heat, guajon mid heat, orange teapot mild heat, orange Thai medium heat and can 21500 these are good ones in my opinion.

Have tried powdering Apocalypse this is a good superhot to powder?

NOPE

looks like i have my work cut out for me. I have not grown any of those.  I love Habs and buy and powder them quite a bit.

I know you have great peppers mpicante. How large is your grow?

i do super hot mixes. If i get a package sent to me i use some to pickle, some in  pickles, the rest is dried and powdered.

do you grow wartryx?

I have one older plant that produced a good amount and am waiting for more buds and blooms.Hopefully it kicks out some more pods.

How are your plants doing going into November?

I'm finally getting ripe pods. My two ghosts are both seven feet tall and look like Christmas trees. I have reapers turnin too.

any of yours three years or better?
