I wasn't doing anything except adding a row of string to my Florida Weave. But a precisely wrong movement told me instantly that I had messed up my back. This was on Sunday evening. Since then, it has been two steps forward, and and a half backward. I had to deliver papers yesterday and my truck is a four-speed. Every time I would press on the clutch, it was time for a pain to shoot throughout my back.
After about eight beers yesterday evening, I was feeling much better. And today wasn't bad, but I had more papers I needed to deliver, and by the time I was done, I was feeling almost as bad as yesterday.
This sucks, not so much because of the pain - I can pretty much deal with it, but that I need to be working in the garden, weaving more plants and cutting weeds!
Something similar happened about 15 years ago - I was walking into the house, coughed and the next thing I felt was a sincere and monumental pain. Thankfully, it muscle, not bone or spine so it's not chronic or progressive. But it is darn uncomfortable.
