Fontina and chile stuffed crust Pizza with Smoked Gator sausage and veggies (topped with a sprinkle of scorp/fatalii flakes)

nothin too fancy here

Dough(crust)

Ingredients
1 cup warm water, about 110 degrees F
1 tablespoon sugar
1 packet dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 1/2 cups flour (adjust as necessary)


Toppings

Mozzerella Cheese
Fontina Cheese
Smoked Gator Sausage slices
Baby Portabella shrooms
Fresh Tomato slices
Red Onion Slices
minced fresh garlic cloves
Red and Green Bell peppers slices
Fresh Red and Green jalapenos
Basil

Sauce
Basic marinara with a touch of HBD's Trini Scorp sauce and fresh basil and garlic

The pictures dont do it justice, it was awesome tasting, but not nearly as awesome looking as some of the other entries here today :)
 
Whoa the dough almost folded over into a calzone!

Flavors sound good.
 
Man the competition is redic! I doubt my phone pics are going to pull this one in....I need to invest in a camera ASAP. Looks like I'm back to the hold'em tables to make some more money....great effort everyone. I am honored to have my pizza side by side with all of yours...we are the shiz and our pizza is to be feared. Good luck peepz :hell:

This months TD almost needs multiple categories! Steak grilled steak, tatortots, tex-mex, fritos and SPAM OH MY!
 
Sum's Surf'n'Turf Pizza

Busted out the Filet Mignon on the Barbie for this one.

Beer batter pizza dough proofed over night for that extra flavor enhancement.

Butter garlic sauce was shmeared on the pie, and the scallops were seared in the leftovers... then sliced thin.

Filets were phellated and covered with whole milk mozzarella, freshly sliced tomato, seared scallops, and sliced fatali (and a pinch of love).

They asked if I wanted some freshly grated parmesan. I said, "Hell Yea", they said, "tell me when". (I said When after a bunch was put on)

Grilled over hot coals on a pizza stone. No black pepper was harmed in this process. This is the best pie in the throwdown (hands down).

lol, that was the original idea but it didnt work out, I was gonna make a "calzone" crust pizza instead of just your typical stuff crust , kinda like two meals in one, but it didnt work out as intended

I guess it kinda worked then! :lol:
 
last minute entry. let's see if I can get it down in time...

chile relleno and chili-braised baby back rib pizza
ingredients pic and proof of life:

dough:
00 flour soft wheat from Italy
yeast
water
salt
olive oil

mix--allow to rise, put in a well-seasoned #12 cast iron skillet put a ring of tomato sauce and start cooking at 450°

ribs:
baby back ribs
salt
korean coarse red chili
flour
beer
olive oil

mix 1/4 cup of chili with 1/2 cup of flour, coat ribs, saute, add beer, braise for an hour until fall-off-bone tender

chiles rellenos:
5 anaheims
jack cheese
flour and chile (left over from breading the ribs)
3 eggs
oil for frying

roast, skin, deseed, stuff chiles with cheese, coat with flour, coat with egg, fry until done

pico de gallo:
tomatoes
onion
cilantro
serranos
salt
lime

chop everything finely and mix

assembly:
when about half cooked, place ribs onto pizza
later add the chiles rellenos
top with cheese
out of the oven add pico de gallo
