beer Being Crafty

I used WLP008 on my last NEIPA. No chloride adjustments. I layered my hops/step hopped. All pellets, dry hopping at 66 degrees. Fining during cold crash.

That's not going to make one based on my understanding! :D

I'll dump what I know after chauffeur duty in a bit ...

I was holding my cards a bit more tightly over Summer, planning to try to win that BrewDown! ...

I'll share everything I learned in the next day or so, researching them, after I dig up my notes (buried by literally thousands of emails since) and reimport my recipe into the new version of Beersmith ...

I just poured this one from my last batch of NEIPA. Looks like grapefruit juice, and is an absolute citra bomb. The body/mouthfeel/aroma is lacking though, compared to Aslin.

Does not compute ... for someone who can brew ...

These are beers you should be able to homebrew without too much difficulty ...

NO.

one thing we will strongly disagree with.

now you can reply with a page long yadda yadda

but no.

example:

treehouse took a pot of wort(or whateveva) and set it on in the middle of their field to collect wild yeast

you can try as many times as you want and I'm sure all of them will be great but it's not gonna be trehouse

New Grant doesn't have time in the evening to explain it to you ...

Suffice to say ... I'll send you one.

This is a style that lends itself very nicely to being made at home, and the reason these are showing up all over the place now, is because it's NOT special ...

Nobody posted a recipe/technique in the BrweDown that was correct, or even close to my recollection ...

I hinted at the levers in my post ... I suspect TGCM can figure out from my questions ...

As for you and your Debbie Doubting, it wouldn't matter if I did explain it in a post - you're stubborn AF - so I'll just leave it at sending you one, which I would have done regardless ...

There are points to hit to make these, it's not super secret, and if you don't do it - you ain't going to get one ...

I vote to get the Old Grant back.
