beer Being Crafty

Enjoyed a nice session IPA from The Bum this afternoon ...

Pours sort of pale orange, a little bit 'straw', with a pretty limited head, and frankly light carbonation overall ...

Champagne-like notes lead the way, with obvious Columbus on the nose as well. A little swirl & sniff reveals something sugar-cookie or sugar-wafer-like, I think ...

Upon tasting, beer is very lightly carb'd, and it goes down smooth. This is the first beer I've ever had where the mouthfeel is soooo dramatic, where they must have used either or both a upper 150F's mash temp and/or an assload of flaked specialty grains. It's light in flavor, but thick in texture, even more so than a golden stout I brewed last year ...

It's a nice little beer, and one you could crush a sixer of without much difficulty ...
