beer Being Crafty

This also happen last night. Mixed feelings about this one right now. Wife and I semi argued about this one. Bottom line she f**ked this one up for me lol. She claimed it had an onion after taste which I didn't taste until she mentioned it. This beer is so sweet yet so bitter I think some might really taste onions. One of my favorite beers Dankosaurus has said to have an onion flavor too but I don't pick up on that, but I did yesterday with this one. Still good just trying to wrap my head around the whole onion thing. Does this sound crazy?
I really liked that one. It might be the mosaic causing the onion thing you are referring to.

Copied from BA

L - Glowing dark orange with two fingers of white head

S - Mango and peach with mossy hops and some cedar

T - Bitter hops, peach juice, pine, sap, onion, garlic, sticky resin

F - Full and syrupy, but carbonation moves everything along. No alcohol presence.

O - Best OH beer I've had so far. Dangerously drinkable. Good combo of east and west coast.

Tell her she's not crazy and may have a more refined palate than you.

I hope they have more of these when I go back.

13.2ABV. A real beer by GM metrics.

If you see this one, pick it up. I wish I could describe it, but I can't.

Pours reddish/amber, and it's pretty damn carb'd up ...

Citrus and hardwood in the head/foam ...

Persistent lacing, IPA flavors up front ... maybe Centennial, maybe Cascade ... by the time I try to think about the hop flavor, there's this roasty malt flavor on the backend that's too pronounced to think critically about the hops ...

I wouldn't be surprised to learn there's some rye in it ...

I think there's some light crystal/caramel malt adding sweetness to balance out what would otherwise be a spicy IPA ...

It's complex, but not overly, or in a bad way ... and it's gone in sixty seconds ...

TC here's your list, you can breathe a sigh of relief, it does make sense (though I would disagree LOL!). ;)

This one is good straight from the can.

Let me pour it and see if it opens up.

Yeah I saw it…they released another can too.  Not driving to Brooklyn every Saturday.   I am fine with filling up my growlers.  I need SDW and a couple of others.

To me that is not hefty... it used to be... I order in the 10-12 range all the time... if I want to tame it down 8.5 is tame... 7.5 to me is to me sessionable... but I do go out on drinking nights where I have to keep it light... I mean Amstel type light, or I end up passed out on a stage (has happened)... my friend calls it the dirty dozen... if you think you'll be out drinking 12 beers... Amstel is my bitch, the lowest alcohol beer that has a little taste lol.

That pretty cool.  Amstel light is a good go-to. Especially when it's hot.

I'm not sure how crafty I'll be during the summer months when the weather is hotter than hell.  My go-to during that time is usually coors light, but given the number of so-called session ipa's that are out there I'm sure I'll be able to find something better.
