I've also had beer I know that I like taste bad from time to time ... with a metallic note that I think was actually from a head-cold or URI or whatever ...

I wonder if I'm the only person to shotgun one of the 3rd anniversary beers...lol. I didn't find it to be boozy, rather smooth for a triple 10%. One of them I shared with friends at the brewery and they said the same thing. Would never be able to tell it was a triple @ 10%

Found a bunch of cans of TF stout at the hoity toity store but opted to get a couple bottles of beer geek breakfast. 
 
 
The stash of clown shoes Mexican chocolate stout was completely gone.  They had bottles of Erudite Crawfish but they were $25 apiece.

Hmmmmm. I've been getting Suparillo forever... but I noticed something different with this grower so I looked at the lid where they write the brew (to make sure it was correct) and it said DDH Supa. I usually like DDH beer but I can honestly say I like the reg Suparillo a lot better! This one is perfumy for lack of a better term, it has a floral aftertaste, like rose that I never picked up before. Yes, rose.

For those that brew, how can double dry hopping bring out more floral notes? Is it like toasting spices and more notes come out... so the double hopping does the same, kind of thing?
