beer Being Crafty

The vanilla in Short Dark & Wired REALLY sold me on vanilla in beer. I've had so many bad ones, this uses real bean so maybe that's it, but it shines through, and I like that it does... Coffee, vanilla bean, this is totally floatable! But no reason to, as it hits all the notes w/o ice cream.

I'm a huge fan of vanilla in stouts as well, especially when paired with coffee. This Passion of the Johann has vanilla beans in it too. I just looked at the can, and realized it's 9.4%. I think the vanilla smooths out any booziness. This drinks like a hoppy maracuya from my favorite local peruvian restaurant.
 
Yup ... I'm having a little palate reset Pico Pale between the 3rd Anniversary and Mind the Hop! ...
 
Then, later, I'm going to have my 1st stout since before I was sick ...
 
I'm seriously looking forward to it ...

Each alternating taste is the perfect antidote for the moment beforehand, and the next moment ...
 
Mmm ... salty, chocolatey M's ... hark, my mouth's a little dry ... swish, swish ... hmm, malty chocolate proof that God loves me ... rinse ... repeat ...
