Barrel Aged day does sound pretty awesome, though. A festival based on barrel aged beers is something I'd wait in line for. They also have a bottle share, which is always fun.

Bottles of Cycle already hitting the trading space, reportedly opening up at $150 ...
I could buy 5-6x bottles of the various Siesta Key Rums, drink for 6 months on it, all while having what's essentially the best/most-awarded rums on the planet right now ... and make the trip to and from in an hour ...

If you read brewer's on barrel-programs at home, they LOL ...
They LOL because barrels are a PITA, a significant risk of having to dump tens of gallons, and because when you aren't a brewery - you can just pour some motherfucking bourbon into your keg ...
So, I'll take the $4 cans of TF and EMJ, and make them BA in a whipping siphon, or in my case - in the NitroBrew ...

Yeah F a weekday release. The weekend releases here are a lot of fun. People share some great beers, plus you can line up trades ahead of time. Trying all the different beers is my favorite part. I get beer to drink it. The problem is the people who hunt whales for "sport", just to dick swing that they have "x" bottle. That I don't understand. The social aspect at the releases is great. Although seeing pictures from some of those releases in FL, it didn't appear that they can drink. That would probably make me pass.
Although I would never pay $50+ dollars for a bottle of BA beer, I do respect the time, inconvenience, and results of a good BA stout. It's a PITA to BA beer for sure, but the best stouts I've had are all BA.
