Oh man I need to try grilling eggplants to make my own moussaka (middle eastern not Greek). love that shit
Oooh, I bet that's good. I'll have to give it a go this Summer. My wife loves Greek style moussaka, so that's what we usually make at home. I'll give a ME version a shot with some home grown and grilled eggplant, to compare.

The hefeweizen is done brewing, the yeast is pitched, and blow off tube has been attached. Hefe yeasts are pretty ferocious, but ferment quickly. I'm fermenting it at 74 degrees to see if I can get some extra banana esters. This whole batch will probably be drank in one day at the music festy, but I still want it to taste proper!

Didn't realize you liked that style. I'll send some your way one day. I don't like Hefe personally...

The Greek as you know is like a lasagna with meat and eggplant but the Middle Eastern is vegetarian with more focus on the eggplants with tomatoes onions and oil but delicious especially when all roasted or grilled.

Sharing with the Mrs. The carbonation is on point with this one..
