Here in Texas brewerys are not allowed to sell beer "to-go" so most distribute themselves to the beer stores and other places that can sell their beer. This is a fresh batch from Hop and Sting (a new brewery I never heard of) I hope it's good!

Yup the laws are all messed up here but it makes a pretty interesting selection when you go to the store.

Here's one that's made down the street from me. First beer I've had from this Brewer. This beer is bozy with mucho carbonation and a medium mouthfeel. It's delicately spiced to make it feel like Christmas. This beer gets a 90 from me.

CT has some really stupid liquor laws too. Up until 2 years ago, you couldn't buy alcohol on Sundays. Period. That finally changed, but it's hurting the 'little guys.' If they wanna stay in competition with the grocery stores that sell beer, they have to pay an employee to keep the store open on Sundays now.

Holidays too. All holidays were off limits. Now, it's legal for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day (I think). It used to mean that if you wanted to buy beer for Memorial Day (which is always on a Monday) you had to buy it on Saturday, 2 days in advance.

Plus stores were only allowed to sell until 8pm; recently changed to 9pm, which also hits the little guys in the pocket.

Bars close at 1am on weeknights; 2pm weekends

Not sure how breweries operate here (the only one I've ever been to is Treehouse in Mass.), but I know you can drink here (in CT) and bring home cans/growlers
