beer Being Crafty

This is a interesting beer from Fredonia Brewery.By the color I thought it was gonna be sweeter and malty but it's really not. It gets a thumbs up from me.

YUGE bourbon aroma right after the pour, which mellowed out after warming up for 5 minutes. All of the adjuncts blend well together, none of them individually stand out in the flavor. The peanut Butter aroma started taking over the bourbon aroma after about 10 minutes in the glass. It is a bit boozy, but that is expected for a Bourbon Barrel Aged 14.3% ABV brew. It is much more sweet than many BBA beers that I love to drink, and it would probably give you diabetes real quick if it was a daily sipper. The beer gets much more complex as it warms up. I think it is a superbly crafted stout, and I'm glad to be sipping it on such a cold day.

Thanks again, THP!
