beer Being Crafty

Man oh man, this is an epic sour! It's like a beer version of a pisco sour. Crooked Run seriously hit this one out of the park.

I have been slacking on posting up beers the last few days.

We hit Nickel Brook's new tap room.
Left to right Florida forensics blood orange table beer, Bastardized tangerine stout, uncertainty principle #1(description follows I think gip will think it is cool) 11.05 Belgian quad with oak & cherries (yearly collaboration with Sawdust City brewing)

The CBS was just ok. I am not sure why it is so highly rated, there are more than a couple barrel aged stouts I would drink before it.

Uncertainty Principle No. 1 is a culmination of multiple souring and fermentative procedures including Kettle Souring, Primary Brettanomyces Fermentation, and Fruit Addition in a stainless tank, and Mixed Culture Fermentation and Souring in an oak barrel. In total it is the culmination of 2 years of brewing and ageing in order to get the character to the level of depth and complexity that our brewers were searching for. Pouring a brilliant hazy golden/orange hue, the aroma bursts with a Tropical Medley of Mandarin Oranges, Mango, and Pineapple, surrounding a core of acetic acid and Funk. Hints of light floral tones tease the palate as punchy notes of Mandarin Orange, Pineapple, and crushed Mango greet your taste buds on the finish. Lactic and Acetic acid blend together seamlessly, creating a deep character which adds layer after layer of complexity.
 
I like that one too GIP. Had it for Christmas a couple years ago in a mixed Belgian pack.

The restaurant we hit the other night had delirium in bottles. I think I enjoyed it more than the braised lamb orecchette
 
It's probably because we have posted so many obscure beers, and special one offs, collabs, etc. from craft breweries. When someone googles an Aslin beer that was released 2 years ago one time, and had a 2 can limit, there isn't much info on the beer. This thread shows up, with a pic of the can, and usually a flavor descriptor, or at least if it was good or not.

i saw this one and it sounded different and gave it a shot. different it is. i really like IPA`s double and triple IPA`s because of the hops but this one is heavy on barley and malt. i like dark and strong beer like most stouts but this style not so much. i`m not saying its bad, its just not my type of brew.
