Hello everybody!

This is my first glog and I know I'm really late with it. I've been growing superhots for a few years, but have never kept a record. So here it goes!

I started my seeds in early February and continued starting seeds until April...just couldn't stop starting new varieties...again. I always take the cheap route and use plain old Miracle-Gro potting soil. It has always worked for me. I also start my seeds in paper towels then transfer them straight to 4 inch pots (I thought they were 3 inch, but they're 4). I use a 125w CFL for lighting and I usually grow around 30 plants. Here's the beginning.

I had crappy soil before this pic and some of these are bare-root transplants. But I did lose one...Chocolate Primo. It just looked funky after transplant.

Here they were just before plant out. Pic taken on May 4...with the addition of a few new seedlings and maters.

Peppers planted out May 10.

Then I ran into the bugs. The flippin' bugs. Judging by the damage, I'm guessing broad mites.

But I soaped then neemed a couple times and things are looking up. I'll have to get a pic of what that plant (Goatsweed) looks like now. This is the latest pic with the addition of the nursery veggies.

I think my wartryx looked like super hot beast, I noticed I do have seeds for naglah beast, but I don't remember what it looked like. Guess I have to grow those three too lol.

Those pods look fantastic. Brainstrain, Primo and SB7J look textbook. Congrats! All the other pods look good as well.

7PC #1 looks great. Love that color. It has that Caramel look to it.

Thank you, Chuck! I must say, I'm pretty happy with the phenos I'm getting this year. Most of them seem to be spot on.

Pretty excited about this one today. I got my first taste of an Aji Jobito. To me, it has a clean Chinense flavor with just the tiniest bit of heat. I used a clean plate & knife, so there was no oil transfer. I was expecting zero heat, but there's a little there...very little. Barely detectable. I got so excited that I didn't snap a pic of the inside.

Thank you, Sim! I pulled the seeds for the Brown Moruga from fresh pods I got from Judy at PepperLover a few years ago and I got the Brainstrain seeds from WM. Both have excellent, consistent phenos. I agree with you on the Caramel color. I love it, too!

Yes sir! Woohoo!!! The plant must have heard my pleading. Lol. I sooo wanted a Caramel. Now next year, I'll grow both a Caramel and a Chocolate version. I have isolated pods on both plants. I'll also send you some F3 seeds this fall.

You got that right, mang! I can't wait for more to ripen. It'll make a great snacking pepper in the garden. I might have to fight the rest of the family for these.

Thank you, Ryan! It started out badly and slowly (pest issues), but things started picking up lately. I'll probably have a huge (for me) harvest in the fall. The bumblebees are working overtime now.

Here are the pods from the 4 plants of 7 Pot Cinder (BBM x Madballz). The top pod is plant #1, below it is plant #2 (not fully ripe), the dark pods below that are plant # 3, and the bottom is plant #4.
