Thank you, Brandon! I like it more and more every day. I think I'll plan on growing at least one purple a season. Same with BBG varieties.

Here's a little Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro update. It's only been a week, but this Jalapeño shows noticeable improvements after two consecutive feedings of 1/4 tsp a gallon.

The older leaves are still yellow, but I'm not worried about that. All of the new growth looks great to me. It also starting setting pods. Here's a flower from the same plant.

I'll try to update this plant next Thursday. I may post about my SB7J as well. Thanks for stopping by!

I got an awesome bottle of sauce from PexPeppers!

I tried it today on some pizza. I love hot sauce on pizza. The consistency is thick...perfect. The heat is way up there for me. It's the second hottest sauce I've tried next to Pex's Painapple. It took me a couple bites of it first to get my mouth used to the heat before I was able to taste the fantastic sweetness. It has a great flavor! I can definitely taste the honey. Keep a box of Kleenex next to you when indulging in this sauce. It's pretty spicey. Thumbs up!

Dyna-gro foliage pro seems to be a good fertilizer for chilis.

I don't have a before picture, but I guess you can see how healthy this seedling looks. If this little guy can handle Dyna-Gro, then the bigger plants should be fine with this solution strength, in my mind. The leaves are really shiny and almost leathery. I don't know, it just looks good to me.

The other plants are starting to get the same shine to them...slowly. I can't wait until this rain spell stops (all week long) so I can finally till the garden and get these guys in the ground so I can try out the Dyna-Gro out there. I'm thinking of starting with 1/2 tsp per gallon in the garden and going up from there.

Ok. Now this is getting ridiculous. I finally get my plants hardened off, then it storms for two days and they have to stay inside. I take them back out for days and they get ready again, then more storms. The ground is so saturated that it'll take a week of dry before I can till the garden. Today is a flood warning. 1-2 more inches expected. Today, tonight, all day tomorrow...rain, rain, rain. If they had been hardened off last week and the garden went in, this weather would be great. But where I am now, it stinks. I hope everybody else is having better weather luck.

It’s still wet up here also. But I’m lucky my raised beds are pretty dry, they drain pretty good. My house shelters them pretty good, except when the rain comes from the south.

Thank you! When I think of raised beds, for some reason, I see a big, square planter on the ground. So I was wondering about drainage. But a raised bed could be just that...3 feet up. I didn't think about that until....PtMD989 posted this.

I guess I pictured your beds higher up and draining. I don't know why. But I can see now how a raised bed could be beneficial. Thank you both!
I just looked at the weather map and you're not getting this mess that we are. You're further north than I thought.

Thank you for the links! I think my local greenhouse carries one like the second one. But their prices are probably through the roof.

On a lighter note...I have a ripening pod! My overwintered clone of 7 Pot Cinder F2 Caramel. Only took 5 weeks. 4 indoor and one outdoor week.

this year i'm waiting until after we get back from our 10 year anniversary mini vacation to even start my hardening.
will be on lake Superior this weekend :dance:

hoping to catch some coho salmon and lake trout :dance:

will start the hardening off, then back under lights in the garage during rainy weather just like i did last year
until i can get them all planted out probably second week of June :rolleyes:

I hope sooner, but we will see how our schedules go

hope you get some better weather and your hardening off and acclimating to outdoors process goes quickly and you can get them plants into their permanent shoes soon

My RB are on the ground. I have one from HD and 2 that I made with lumber I had in my shed. I used 5/4”x6 deck boards for the sides. 2x4 in the corners.

Wow! 10 year anniversary!! Congratulations! Fishing on Lake Superior sounds very relaxing and awesome!!! It's gonna be a blast! I hope you guys have a fantastic time!

Planting in June just seems really late to me. But if it works, why not?! I usually plant out around now, so I guess another week won't be that bad. I do the same thing: harden off for a few days, then rain for a few. It takes forever to get them acclimated properly. I still get sun scald. But thank you for letting me know I'm not too far behind with hardening off. I'll stop b@$&!@%# about it. Lol.

Oh! Very nice! Home built RB's, as well. I'm not very handy, but I can see a woodworker putting that together perfectly. On the ground and still drains fine? Nice!

They drain fine. They aren’t sealed up on the corners and gravity does the work to drain them. They are easy to build. 4 side boards, 4 2x4 pieces for the corners and about 24 deck screws or you can use nails if you wish. They are nothing fancy. The hardest part was humping 15 ,5 gal buckets of dirt ,from the field across the road ,about 100 yards to fill it. That about kicked my butt. [emoji16]

I went out and took some tulip pics before the gf came along and snipped them for a bouquet or two she wanted to make.

Thanks, DF! We have a wide array of flowers that bloom throughout the season. The ants are working hard right now on the peony...trying to get it to bloom.

One of our Rose of Sharon trees died, so we're in the market for a new flowering tree for its spot.

I saw these a few weeks ago and kicked myself in the butt for not picking them up. I grabbed a pack today. I didn't know they had orange.
