Big wheel + ski jump = Awesome

the next time I go down to his house I'll get some good pics for you guys, when it warms up. That kid is nutz.

that looks like it be fun, as long as you always land properly
what would be even cooler is if someone would make a ski jump like this that you land in water, that'd be fun.

Hahah that is awesome. I can't imagine that feels good on your tailbone though. Or your balls for that matter...

It is pretty funny stuff, but nowhere do I see them telling the younger kids not to do it or to be supervised by your parents.....

Fun is fun by stupidity can kill.....and it's usually the 12 year old boy that dies while trying to copy these guys....

Is it me or have kids lost the ability to have any common sense? I don't wanna go off here, but hell I grew up watching all sorts of stuff on TV that common sense told me would be to dangerous to try myself. The world has grown too protective of kids by making everything safe and sterile and controlled. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see a kid get hurt, but they need to learn somehow. They don't seem to be able to function when they get to the real world because they have lived in these perfect little bubbles. Im just gonna shut up because I think I could go on for days here.........

Overprotective parenting dilutes the gene pool. If you don't let dumb kids weed themselves out, you're pissing on evolution!

I agree with you in the most part, in regards to kids being rapped in cotton wool far to much, but I spent my younger years in the 80's and early 90's (I'm 30), and the things we saw on TV and read about weren't (mostly) adventure sports that can be life threatening if even the smallest thing goes wrong.

But in saying that, my brother and I used to get on our billy carts (un supervised) at a young age and ride flat out down the ruff and semi steep hill through the trees. We got hurt a few times but that taught us not to push it that far next time...:)

We also had a flying fox set up over a big gully, and at the middle we could fall 5 metres.....but we never did...cause we were holding on for dear life....

It's just all a matter of society changes....weather it's good or bad.......

I have my experiences that my kids wouldn't think of doing, and at the same time, my father remembers riding his push bike down the main street of Newcastle NSW, with a rifle over his shoulder....Which I would have spent many nights in the slammer for the same thing at the same age (early 90's), or got shot.

Slightly off topic......but you get my point.....hopefully

awww come on folks that would be a blast taking that jump as long as you land in a lake, you're telling me something like that wouldn't be fun ?
I'd run up there with my own big wheel
as for landing on a ramp like he did, I'd pass on it then cuz with my luck I'd hit the edge

Ok grandmoms, these are clips from the Thrill Billy's Double Wide movies which in the begining state DON"T TRY THESE STUNTS.

When I was 12, we used to jump our bmx's into a little lake here. Ride down a hill, off a natural little ramp to the lake. Only a 6-8' drop to the water. After doing this on a dozen different trips to the lake, one guy I barely knew landed in the water about 2' to the right of where we normally landed. He came up screaming, a tree branch was submerged and had punctured right through his thigh. Luckily a fire hall was literally a block away and we ran straight to it to get him help.

Worse was the tarzan swing we used to swing over the barnacles and jump into the deep water. It was about the same age, maybe just a year older. Tide was out a bit so you had to let go at the very end. Well of course this one kid missed, broke his arm and had massive cuts all down his side. There I remember we flagged down a car on the road and they drove him to the hospital (no cell phones back then!).

So, well kids can be stupid even without these videos on youtube...

I did some cliff jumping back in the day on the st. croix river, it was a blast! though it still had its risks!! they fenced off some locations cuz some kids have died from jumping there.
as the saying goes "young, dumb, full of cum, watch out here we come"
