wanted Biker Billy jalapeno seeds wanted

I've been hearing some good things about the 'Biker Billy' strain of jalapeno and would like to get my grubby little hands on some. If there is anyone interested in trading for some...

You can probably find them locally - I bought mine at Lowes last year.

I think I have some left. Send me a PM.

Definitely worth growin. :)

i'm also looking for some of this seed to buy or trade. don't have much to trade. I got:

early jalepeno
numex sunrise
jalepeno goliath
carmen bell pepper
thai birds eye pepper
bhut jolokia seeds (fromvhttp://www.thehottestpepper.com/)

some 2009 stock sementi seeds (italian brand) of:
tomatoes
basil
cucumber

thanks

if you have a Lowes close to you, they have BB Jalapeno seeds (or at least they do down here) and they are inexpensive...they are a Burpee product...

I thought it was an F1 (unstable) hybrid, so you have to get them from Burpee. seeds from pods grown by you won't have the same genetic info as the ones bought from Burpee.

we will find out this year Omri (and next too)...Potawie and I think some others are trying to grow some F1 BBs this year

And that opens another whole can of worms which I don't understand. If you make a cross you will get four different possible plants. So how can one market an f1 hybrid that stable. You would have a possibility of getting 1 of four different plants wouldn't you?

Actually it's not that simple. I've got a lot theories regarding this subject, but it's not the time or place to talk about it.

Anyhow, wish you guys the best results possible.

I'm growing regular f1s and a couple f2s to see if they are really f1 hybrids. My f2 seeds had very poor germination, so tests will be limited

True f1 plants will all grow the same, there is no 4 possibilities. Its the f2 generation where you have to start making selections for most desirable characteristics

nevermind.

Sorry all.........just realized I've already made a trade for them :) I need to sift through the seedbank a bit more often. Thanks anyway peeps.

and for clarification;
figure a = F1 hybrid
figure b = F2 hybrid

The BillyBiker seeds from Burpee are F1 theoretically hybrids, so they are all uniform. The linked chart tracks a single genetic trait, so when multiple traits are involved, the results are more complex. If you breed the F1s together, and get F2s, the results will be all over the place.

But many here argue the BBs are not a hybrid, and if that is the case, their progeny should grow true. I can't wait to see the results.
