Black or white?

Just gathering opinions on which color to paint the roof of Molly, my '59 Mini. The paint is in really good condition except for the roof and I'm going to take it to be repainted.

This is my car with the white roof:

And this is a MK1 with a black roof like I'm concidering:

I know it's silly to ask this here instead of on a car site, but most classic British car-owners are douches. ;)
 
Continue the racing stripes.

Well chances are the white won't match exactly right? It may be glossier and not an exact color match... if this is so, go with the black.

That is an excellent assumption! Fortunately, it wouldn't have to match EXACTLY because of the seam that goes all the way around the roof. It would retard much of any slight shade differences.
 
Are those flat black stripes? A flat black roof would look nice to match.
 
Satin black it is! I love the contrast of flat (or satin) on gloss.
 
Repaint the whole car, move the racing stripes in a few inches then continue them through the roof and down the backside.
