Not that anyone really cares....but this is what I decided to do:

Satin black...with an option to go with a white Union Jack or checkered roof later....

The roof now matches the stripes. I'm very happy with the result.

If you don't want the turd in a punchbowl effect, paint the whole thing some shade of gray w/o racing stripes.......lots less police attention and tickets.
