nothing like wading in water up to my ankles to get my seafood on.... yeah, I MUST have pissed mother Nature off - that biotch - .. the rain started as soon as I dragged the pot out and ended as soon as I was ready to pull the crabs.
 
All in all, I'd say it was worth it, though! 
 
Shut the flame off after a 7 minute boil for a 30 minute soak.....

rougarou is a cajun legend.... sorta the same as a loup garou.... a cajun werewolf. The best defense against them is to hang a colander on your door, and when they come to the door, they HAVE to stop and count the holes in the colander - I guess they're a bit OCD?. Anyhoo, while they're counting the holes, you spring the door open and throw salt on them. It will cause them to jump out of their skin and run away.

CJ.... there's a book you need to get Scovie to buy for you. It's full of old cajun legends and wives tales. Name of the book is Gumbo Ya Ya,. My grandma has/had it and I read it when I was a kid.... good stuff!
